PAK vs NZ Dream11 Match Preview, Playing 11 Updates, Pitch Report and Free GL Teams.

New Zealand’s mark their first Tour of Pakistan in 18 years with 3 One-day games and five T20I games respectively. The first match of this ODI series between Pakistan and New Zealand will played on Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi on Friday 17th September.

This series will not be a part of the ICC World Cup Super League as there is no DRS. However, it should be an interesting series. New Zealand will look to do well in this series after a disappointing T20I series against Bangladesh recently.New Zealand does not have a minimum of 8 first-choice players in their ODI squad.

Pakistan managed to register only a lone win on their limited-overs Tour of England a couple of months back. Pakistan has announce their 12-man squad against New Zealand for 1st ODI Match. Pakistan has selected some young players in its squad.

The last time New Zealand toured Pakistan was way back in 2003. Both the teams are looking to start the series on a winning note.

Team Previews & Probable Playing 11:

Pakistan :

Pakistan has already named the 12-member squad for the first ODI so we know who will line up for them. Pakistan’s fight will be stronger at home than anywhere else, but it’s still not very strong. Fakhar Zaman is not very consistent, Imam ul-Haq could be a bit unsure at the top too, and a lot depends on the duo of Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan. With Babar Azam in batting and Shaheen Shah Afridi and Hasan Ali in bowling Pakistan will look to dominate the NZ side.

  • Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul Haq will probably open the inning for the Pakistan team.
  • Babar Azam (c), Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Shadab Khan will form the middle order of the team.
  • Babar Azam will lead the Pakistan team as a Captain. He is also good Batsman.
  • Mohammad Rizwan will do the wicket keeping for Pakistan team.
  • Usman Qadir and Shadab Khan will take care of the spin bowling of the team.
  • Haris Rauf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Hasan Ali will lead the pace attack of the team.

Probable Playing XI : Fakhar Zaman, Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam (c), Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Saud Shakeel, Hasan Ali, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Usman Qadir

New Zealand :

New Zealand just lost the T20 series to Bangladesh for the first time in their history prior to this series. That was a series played on some horrible pitches that were very easy to spin and made hitting nearly impossible. Rawalpindi will not be like this and it will give New Zealand a better chance to be competitive. New Zealand cricket team is in Pakistan for the first tour in 18 years. Tom Latham-led BlackCaps will play three ODIS and five T20ls against Pakistan from September 17-October 03. Tom Latham’s side is coming off after facing 2-3 in five matches T20ls against Bangladesh and will be aiming to put up a better show against the Babar Azam-led side.

  • Rachin Ravindra and Finn Allen will probably open the inning for the New Zealand team. Both are well known inning openers.
  • Will Young, Tom Latham (c & wk), Colin de Grandhomme will form the middle order.
  • Tom Latham will lead the New Zealand team as a Captain. He will also do wicket keeping for his team.
  • Ajaz Patel and Rachin Ravindra will lead the spin attack of the team.
  • Hamish Bennet and Scott Kuggeleijn will take care of the pace attack for his team.

Probable Playing XI : Rachin Ravindra, Finn Allen, Will Young, Colin de Grandhomme, Tom Latham (w/c), Henry Nicholls, Scott Kuggeleijn, Hamish Bennett, Ajaz Patel, Blair Tickner, Matt Henry.

Pitch Report / Conditions :

A relatively high-scoring encounter, although there is some swing available for the pacers early on, the nature of the pitch allows the batsmen to get their eye in early and make an impact in the powerplay overs. As the game progresses, spin could play a part, and variations in pace should also have a say in the proceedings. Both teams will ideally want to bat first upon winning the toss, with 250 being a decent total at this venue.

Avg score: 250 (24 ODIs in Rawalpindi)

Record of chasing teams: Won – 12, Lost – 11, Tied – 1
